Contemporary needs and aspirations have brought about several changes in society and given a new meaning to home. From being a place of shelter to safety, today’s homes offer security, comfort, convenience and style. Today’s homes are green, intelligent and keep dwellers free from the dangers and distractions of the outside world.

What makes a home smart is automation that addresses and enhances the need for personal protection, asset security, higher levels of comfort and convenience. Power Packard offers several automation solutions that enhance comfort and security as well as conserve energy, improving homes and the quality of life of those within them.

The Power Packard’s home automation follows open architecture and is ideal for existing houses as well as those under construction. Being a modular system, it gives customers the option to start at a budget-friendly level with minimal control and integration of lighting and heating/cooling and to later upgrade with new functional interfaces, design panels, multi-media touch screens et al, to suit their changing functional, economical and aesthetic needs. In addition to lighting control, it encompasses the integration of an extensive package of electrical functions such as lighting, curtains, sun shades, appliances, humidifiers, heating & cooling, audio-video, video door phone etc.

Other than dimming and colour mixing, lighting controls include presence detectors that form a very simple energy efficiency solution. Power Packard’s range of modular devices of 10 kA include Miniature Circuit Breakers (MCBs) that are used in low voltage electrical networks. Unlike a fuse which operates once and then must be replaced, a circuit breaker can be reset (either manually or automatically) to resume normal operation, thus protecting individual household appliances

The Residual Current Circuit-Breakers (RCCBs) are designed to disconnect quickly enough to prevent shocks caused by earth leakage, while an Isolator in the mains circuit ensures that there will not be flow of any current at load side when it is in open condition; this ensures safe working in an electric installation. For final distribution of electrical power, distribution boards are supplied in different colours for bulk requirements.
